Growing up in London, Ontario I was involved in competitive wrestling at a young age, putting great physical demands on my body. In 2008, after the birth of my second son, I was drawn to yoga as a way to regain physical strength and confidence in a more peaceful way. The calmness of a yoga practice, combined with the physical benefits are what continue to draw me back to my mat. I completed my initial 500 hour RYT training in 2012 at Moksha Yoga Victoria and have completed continuing education in Yin Yoga, Aerial Yoga and Thai massage. I also enjoy chocolate, wine and travel and my favorite yoga pose is anything that pushes me outside of my comfort zone and challenges me.
Barre will challenge your body with dynamic movements that pull from the worlds of dance and fitness (no dance training required!). A wall or chair and small hand weights may be used to support, strengthen and sculpt muscle groups. Class is led by Tara Meldrum.
